Alright, the characters Im running with are basically mercenaries for hire. Their mission is to capture a really powerful terrorist and bring him in alive. Hansel is an egoistic adrenaline junkie who's "shoot first ask questions second" attitude often gets his team in trouble and makes their missions more complicated than they have to be. Gretel is a skilled assassin with a seductive attitude. Her appearance shows she's been in a her fair share of battles what with her eye-patch and bionic arm and all. Her calm and level headed attitude brings a good balance into their team chemistry. The story starts off with Hansel and Gretel in the jungle looking for "Phatman" ( The witch , name is applicable to change ), in which case he ambushes them and takes them to his hideout where he proceeds to drown Gretel in hot acid with Hansel in a cage left to watch....
It's an interesting idea, but I worry that it's sorta lost a LOT of the Hansel and Gretel story. The kids are no longer innocent in any way, they are no longer lured to the house with false promises of food and safety, and Hansel is not about to watch his sister get cooked and eaten alive by a crazed cannibal.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I do like the work you've put into the characters. What's your house going to look like?
If everyone went with the idea of having innocent kids for characters and followed the generic plot for their stories then we would all have really similar ideas and art work. Essentially we are going to be following Brian's script, I wouldn't be too worried about the story for now but rather focus on getting better designs.
